New South Wales, Australia’s premier state, will be on full display at Expo 2025 Osaka. Focus areas for NSW will include promoting opportunities around clean energy investment, the new Western Sydney Airport and the State’s premium food and beverages. NSW is proud to be a Bronze Partner of the Australia Pavilion, which will host a series of activations and events under the theme “Chasing the Sun”, from 13 April to 13 October 2025.
The NSW Government is committed to diversifying the state’s export base, increasing business resilience, fostering innovation and supporting industry development, with Expo 2025 Osaka to serve as a key platform to boost the NSW-Japan trade and investment relationship.
Japan is NSW’s second largest two-way trading partner, valued at $28.3 billion in 2023-24. We have a likeminded approach to many issues affecting our economies including decarbonisation, with the clean energy transition presenting a significant opportunity to grow and diversify our trade partnership.
Australia Pavilion partnership expressions of interest are open until 31 December 2024. Find out more about this unique opportunity at http://www.expoaustralia.gov.au/partners
From NSW Minister for Industry and Trade Anoulack Chanthivong:
“Japan is one of NSW’s most trusted trading partners and it is a relationship that’ll only grow stronger through Expo 2025 Osaka.
This is an incredible platform to showcase NSW’s strengths and the trade and investment opportunities available across numerous industries.
Whether it’s the transition to net zero, exporting our top-quality food and beverages, or partnerships across health, medical research and space – there is enormous scope to advance the NSW-Japan trade and investment partnerships.
We look forward to having a strong presence at Expo 2025 Osaka and highlighting NSW’s world-leading capabilities.”
