As part of the Australia Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Trade Tasmania is proud to showcase the diverse and delicious offerings of Tasmanian food and beverage producers.
Tasmania’s activation will feature an acclaimed guest chef who will participate in a week-long interactive program, featuring live cooking demonstrations, collaborations with other guest chefs, and media opportunities. This talented culinary expert will highlight the unique flavours and high-quality ingredients that Tasmania has become globally recognised for.
Japan is one of Tasmania’s key trade partners, with the value of goods exported to Japan reaching AUD$262.87 million in the year ending April 2024.
By showcasing the state's culinary diversity, Trade Tasmania aims to strengthen Tasmania's reputation as a global food destination and attract more Japanese consumers to its world-class products. The key focus will be on showcasing key Tasmanian exports to Japan, such as beef, lamb, whisky and distilled spirits, under the programming pillar of Food, Wine and Agriculture.
