Australian Geographic to showcase ‘Our Country’ at Expo 2025 Osaka as an Australia Pavilion Bronze Partner

We are pleased to announce our latest Australia Pavilion Bronze Partner – Australian Geographic! At Expo 2025 Osaka, Australian Geographic will present an exclusive nine screen version of their ‘Our Country’ cinematic experience to the forecourt of the Australia Pavilion.

Australian Geographic is dedicated to celebrating, promoting, and protecting the wonder and diversity of our country. This partnership is an unparalleled opportunity to showcase these efforts on the world stage.

‘Our Country’ is a cinematic journey that showcases moving images of landscapes, flora, fauna and weather events to communicate the grandeur of Australia’s unique natural world. These vibrant landscapes will be showcased to audiences daily throughout the entire Expo 2025 Osaka.

The Australian continent is a canvas rich in colour and burnished by intense light; its spectacularly varied landscapes protect plants and animals that exist nowhere else on Earth. Simultaneously intimate and expansive, this rugged, ancient place cannot help but capture our attention — a place of secret life, enduring mysteries, and a rich, continuing culture that has existed for millennia.

Allow yourself to be swept away by elemental forces, transported from lush rainforests to snowy peaks, immersed in red deserts or aquamarine seas. Feel the peals of thunder, the electric wet-season storms, and dip into the breaking waves.

Our Country is calling you — experience its wonder and majesty exclusively at the forecourt of the Australian pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.

Quotes

Karina Holden, Emmy Award-Winning Creator of ‘Australian Geographic: Our Country’ and Head of Factual at Northern Pictures:

"Over the last 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of crisscrossing Australia on filming assignments as a natural history filmmaker, allowing me the opportunity to immerse myself in many of the country’s most extraordinary wilderness areas. What we will see on the screens in Osaka represents well over 100,000 hours in the field by dozens of cinematographers, I’ve had the privilege of working with. Visitors to the Australia Pavilion will be swept away by elemental forces, transported from Australia’s lush rainforests to its snowy peaks, from red deserts to aquamarine seas.”

David Haslingden, Managing Director of Australian Geographic:

“It’s an honour to showcase Australia in all its glory. Australian Geographic, in partnership with sister company, Northern Pictures, specialise in capturing the most incredible content whether for factual or visual purpose. Our Country is something to be proud of and we want every Australian and future visitor to walk away feeling a connection to this vast landscape we call home.”
